What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
FAKED (BY ME) -
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stop, and smell the roseWe have no time to stand and stare.
Waft it in and squinch the nose.
No time to see if we won or lost,
When we scramble from post to post.
No time to spare the moment spent
To savor the sight of reapers bent.
No time to wander in aimless stroll
Blank out the mind, fill up the soul.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

Hey, Thanks SB!
I liked your blog too.
Keep coming back, I have something nice coming up :-)
nice attempt :)
Thanks P@ul@mi!
I liked the 2 and 3rd poems for they were short and sweet and filled with simple pleasures in life! Simplicity leads to sublimity! Henry Davies poem was good inspiration to you.
Came to read yours through Indiblogger!
